Why I chose Apple:

Both personally and professionally, I have chosen Apple as my choice of product because of the seamless integration into my other systems. Apple is known for it’s streamlining of services, and it’s perceived higher quality because of the low-profile design and unique offers it provides.

Down to the packaging, Apple is has minimal packaging and sleek, modern designs making it one of the best performing tech companies globally. In 2025, Apple’s annual sales topped at around $416 Billion, and they hold the biggest amount of younger generations while older generations tend to perfer other tech companies as their provider.

The idea of this concept is that instead of a bulky, unattractive smart device users could utilize an attractive, delicate wearable that wouldn’t compromise style for tracking.

Why this product matters:

The popularity of minimalist designs has risen substantially over the last couple of years in addition to the interest in fitness. By combining the small, sleek, design of other fitness trackers with the convenience of Apple’s iOS the needs of those who don’t like the chunky design of the Apple Watch or maybe who dress more professionally.

Making the iRing could cater to the interests of those who crave a sleek design with the iOS they love. Long lasting battery and waterproof technology means they could wear this device over a long weekend away without having to worry about bringing cords and remembering to remove it before jumping in the pool.

Research:

To research adding the iRing to the Apple family, we need to know what the target audience is and if there is a big enough audience to launch this idea. We would also want to know what their buying habits, and minimalist design.

Additionally, we would want to look at similar products made by other big tech companies to see if it’s worth trying to compete with what they offer. We’d want to know what external factors would be a concern, like the price point in the receeding economy, as well as the interest in fitness. An additional market we could possibly consider is people who have chronic illnesses that want to track symptoms like rapid heartbeat and rising BP.

For additional data, we would look at marketing research and industry data. We would also send out an email to our committed Apple users asking them about their interest in a product like this.

Final Thoughts:

With years of innovative, sleek designs, Apple has laid the groundwork for many new technologies starting way back with the PC in the mid 90’s. Apple continuously offers new and updated devices that give customers a seamlessly integrated iOS experience as well as many other perks for using their products.

Adding the iRing could be another great way to keep Apple on top and outperforming with the younger generations.
